What does Freshie Folk sell?
Three deodorant balms, an underarm mask, a bamboo applicator, a sample bundle, and digital gift cards. A natural, aluminium-free odour-control deodorant balm, with a published ingredient list on the product page.
What is in the deodorant?
Arrowroot and kaolin clay soak up moisture. Sodium bicarbonate neutralises odour. Shea butter and sunflower oil keep skin soft. The shared base also includes coconut oil, beeswax, vitamin E oil and pure essential oils. No aluminium, no synthetic fragrance, no parabens and no fillers. Wild Awake’s list on this site is the one printed on that label. Lemongrass Lift and Classic Botanic show the shared base until their scent oils are confirmed.
Where is it made?
Handmade in small batches in Freshwater, NSW.
How do I use the underarm mask?
Mix 1 teaspoon of powder with 1 teaspoon of water, or apple cider vinegar, in a non-metal bowl. Spread a thin layer on clean underarms, leave it for 10 minutes, then rinse. Patch test first, keep it off broken skin and eyes, and stop if irritation lasts.
How much is postage?
Postage to Australia is $6.75, and free once the order reaches $60.00. Shipping to the United States is US$9.95, and free once the order reaches US$41.95. Postage to the United Kingdom is £6.95, and free once the order reaches £31.95. Postage to South Africa is R149, and free once the order reaches R699. Delivery times vary; we'll email tracking. The checkout address must be in the country of the shop you are using. Gift cards are digital and are not charged postage.
Do you post outside Australia?
Yes. The United States, United Kingdom and South Africa shops take orders for those countries. Delivery times vary; we'll email tracking.
What is the returns policy?
Email or call if something is wrong with an order. Nothing on this site removes a right under the Australian Consumer Law.
How do gift cards work?
Gift cards are digital, in amounts of £10.00, £25.00, £50.00 and £100.00. Freshie Folk emails the code after payment.
What is not in the balm?
Made without aluminium or synthetic fragrance. No parabens. No propylene glycol. No fillers.
Switching from a regular deodorant?
Give your body a week or two to adjust. Apply with your fingertips or the bamboo applicator, and reapply after the gym if you like.
How much do I use?
A pea-sized amount per underarm. Warm it with your fingertips first, then apply with your fingertips or the bamboo applicator.
What if bicarb doesn't suit me?
Patch test first. If redness or irritation shows up, stop using it.
